0erik1 is the longstanding digital moniker of the artist / creator, Erik Simkins. The name is a playful reference of creators in the social media age who defiantly exist within both product codes and binaries.

key graphics are a combination of (3) elements:

the center point sharpness indicator from the international organization of standardization (ISO) 112233:2000 chart. this was used between the years 2000-2017 to measure the optical quality of imaging devices and their associated instruments. two colors oriented in opposing 45* angles are a nod to the e-ideologies of anarcho-communism (red), anarcho-transhumanism (blue), as well as their humorously paradoxical utopian visions.
